Route Family Adventure
Day 1
Usa River
With great anticipation for the next eight fantastic days, your safari guide welcomes you today.
Start your holiday relaxing in the tropical garden of your first accommodation. Enjoy a snack on the sun terrace or take a dip in the pool to cool off. With a bit of luck, you may spot the tiny dik-diks (dwarf antelopes) up close. If the weather is good, make sure to climb the observation platform for a view of the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro.
Day 2
Tarangire National Park
So many animals!
After breakfast, a local guide will accompany you on a private walking tour (approx. 2-2.5 hours) through the dense and rich rainforest near the lodge. Do you have questions about the forest, its plants, or the rare white colobus monkeys? Don’t hesitate to ask the experts.
In Tarangire National Park, you will see rare species such as the gerenuk, the lesser kudu, and oryx. But the park is most famous for its massive herds of elephants. You may also spot big cats, giraffes, and buffalo all year round.
Day 3-4
Karatu
A new safari adventure awaits the family today.
Today, you will enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire NP with lunch in the heart of the park. Then you will head towards the Ngorongoro Crater.
In the afternoon, you can refresh yourself at the swimming pool, enjoy a massage, or perhaps join a mountain bike tour or a guided hike through the surrounding plantations?
Around Karatu, you will also visit a school and a local farm, and a walk through one of the coffee plantations is also possible.

Itineraries
Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater
You can look forward to a fantastic game drive with a picnic in the 20 km wide caldera.
The crater is a unique place and home to hundreds of animals. All of Africa’s major mammals are found here: lions, leopards, and hyenas, as well as herds of wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, hippos, and rhinos.
In the afternoon, you will take a short walk with the Maasai warriors, home to this area.
Day 6-7
Grumeti Game Reserve
More adventure awaits!
In the morning, a Maasai guide will take you through a nearby Maasai village, where you will visit a traditional Maasai hut and experience the tribe’s way of life up close. Then you will head to the nearby Olduvai Gorge, where fossilized bones and stone tools of our ancestors have been found.
Of course, you will also enjoy a game drive in the famous Serengeti National Park.
Together with a local guide and an armed ranger, you will leave the lodge on foot to observe the wildlife of the area from a different perspective. The guide will point out the various plants and small animals that often remain hidden when traveling in a safari vehicle. On your last evening, embark on an exciting night safari!
Day 8
End of tour - Departure - Arrival home
Time to say good bye to this beautiful adventure!
Depending on your flight time, you will enjoy a final early morning game drive and then head to Ikoma Airstrip after breakfast.
You will fly back to Arusha and be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport. After a farewell lunch, you will start your journey back home.
