Day 1-2
Usa River
After arrival in Tanzania, start with a relaxing stay along the Usa River.
Upon arrival your safari guide will meet you and take you to your first accommodation. Enjoy a snack on the sun terrace or take a dip in the pool to cool off. With a bit of luck, you may spot the tiny dik-diks (dwarf antelopes) up close. If the weather is good, make sure to climb the observation platform for a view of the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro.
You will join a walk through the rain forest and also visit the seven Momela Lakes to see vast swathes of pink flamingos, and look out for buffalos and waterbuck. The park offers an array of safari tours and the chance to see unique primates such as blue monkeys, albino baboons, and colobus monkeys
Day 3-4
Tarangire National Park
Look forward to spotting rare species of wildlife on this game drive to Tarangire.
You have two days to explore this spectacular Manyara Region, comprising of granite ridges, river valleys, mixed vegetative landscapes and countless free-roaming wilfdlife.
Tarangire National Park is particularly famous for its large herds of elefants and massive baobab trees.
Day 5-6
Karatu
This small, colourful town serves as a popular overnight stop for visitors exploring the area’s many game parks.
The town offers a variety of activities including browsing the bustling marketplace, sampling beer at a local brewery, visiting a traditional homestead, or taking a guided walk through the Ngorongoro Forest in search of waterfalls and caves.
A visit to one of the local coffee plantations is a special experience.

Day 7-8
Ngorongoro Crater
Surrounded by Tanzania’s highlands, this UNESCO-listed crater is said to be the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
The Ngorongoro Crater is best known for its natural beauty and abundance of diverse wildlife; which makes it one of Africa’s most popular safari destinations.
Visitors can look forward to spotting the world-renowned Big Five and a host of other wildlife species including large herds of zebra and wildebeest. It is famed as one of Tanzania’s best tourist attractions offering visitors an array of wonderful activities including excellent bird watching, trekking, wildlife viewing, mountain biking and visiting a local Maasai village.
Day 9
Eastern Serengetti
Time to take those binoculars out.
The rich acacia-dotted plains of the Eastern Serengeti are home to abundant wildlife. Visitors flock here to view the world-renowned wildebeest migration. Some of the best game-viewing can be enjoyed from Lobo on the eastern edge of the Serengeti National Park along the Grumeti River.
The Serengeti is undoubtedly the most famous national park in the world and stretches over 14,000 km². Here you will encounter the world’s largest concentration of big cats such as cheetahs, lions and leopards.
Day 10-11
Grumeti Game Reserve
Get moving with an early morning game and bush walk.
Together with a local guide and an armed ranger, you leave the lodge on foot to observe the wildlife of this area from a different angle. The guide will point out the various plants and small animals that often remain hidden when travelling in a safari vehicle.
In the evening you set off for an exciting night safari, moving quietly across the plaines in an electrical safari vehicle. With a bit of luck you may encounter owls, bushbabies and even the nocturnal big cats.
Day 12-13
Northern Serengeti
Explore this remote African wildlife wonderland.
The vast, rolling savannah of the Northern Serengeti, is known as the hub of the great migration. The landscape is characterised by vast stretches of savannah interspersed with acacia trees and riverine woodlands. Wildlife can be seen along the banks of the Mara River and visitors can view the annual spectacle of the half a million migrating wildebeest.
For spectacular views and a ‘once in a lifetime experience’, consider taking a hot air balloon flight and watch this landscape and its animals from above.
Day 14-17
Zanzibar
Good bye Safari – Hello Beaches!
Today you fly to Zanzibar, where you can relax on the pearl white beaches, and cool off in the blue waters of the ocean.
Zanzibar has many things to offer besides sun, sea and beaches. Stone Town is the historical capital. Walk through the meandering alleys and visit the noisy bazaars, the Old Fort, and the site of the former slave market. The Spice Tour is a great way of exploring the famous spice plantations of Zanzibar. The Prison Island boat trip will take you to the island that was formerly used for the detention of slaves. Today, Prison Island is home to the giant tortoise.
